The Ivy Center of Huntsville/Madison County Foundation, Inc.

Evangeline Herndon Spillman Single Parent Scholarship

2024-2025 Academic Year

Purpose

Members of The Ivy Center of Huntsville/Madison County Foundation, Inc. are convinced that education is indispensable to the personal, civic, and economic well-being of citizens and their communities. Yet, the soaring cost of higher education, coupled with socioeconomic barriers, make the attainment of post-secondary education increasingly difficult.  The Foundation aims to foster a more positive, productive, and culturally diverse community by awarding scholarships up to $1500 each to single parents who live in Huntsville or Madison County.  Scholarship awards are to be used for assistance with the cost of tuition, fees, books, and supplies.  Awardees must begin or continue their education at an accredited college or university or a vocational or technical school during the 2024-2025 academic year.
